PHEW! What a phenomenal turnaround by the Bangla Tigers in this T20I series! After enduring a tough ODI series, the Litton Das-led unit has shown remarkable resilience and character, defending totals in all three matches. They have scripted history by completing a sensational Bangla-wash over the Men in Maroon in T20Is for the very first time. A monumental achievement for Bangladesh cricket!

Bangladesh wraps up the year on a high note, showcasing their grit and determination to end on a winning streak. On the other hand, it has been a year to forget for the West Indies, marred by inconsistency and missed opportunities. With this historic series victory, the curtains come down on the West Indies summer, leaving plenty for the hosts to ponder.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash who, along with scorer/analyst Bishal Mandal brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. BYE BYE👋
Litton Das now collects the winners trophy and joins his teammates. He hands over the trophy to the youngsters and the photoshoots begin. Bangladesh have done a clean sweep over West Indies in the T20Is for the first time!
Litton Das (Bangladesh Captain): "If you see, we played really well in the Test and ODI Series as well but unfortunately we did not win the series.

I spoke to the boys. I told them not to take much pressure. Our bowling is our strength and we were really confident to defend targets.

Well he did not put any pressure on me. He always agreed to my decisions. All the coaching staffs backed us and this win is for them.

Well our batters played really well throughout the series. 189 is a brilliant total, we batted really well and it's a big achievement for me.

Yeah we are trying to improve in all the departments. We want to improve and get better in 2025 as a team."
Rovman Powell (West Indies Captain): "I think we bowled pretty well in the middle overs. However, we didn’t fully control the powerplay as we wanted, and we didn’t execute well in the back end. It's about losing wickets in clusters.

If we keep losing wickets in the first and second overs of the powerplay, we’re always going to find ourselves behind in the game. That’s happened to us in the last eight or so T20 games, so it’s something we need time to rectify.

I think it's about taking some time off as a T20 group. We won’t come together again until maybe mid-2025, so the players will have the opportunity to reflect on their game, review the mistakes we've made as a batting group during 2024, and hopefully, by 2025, those small mistakes will be corrected.

They have been fantastic. To come to the Caribbean after a disappointing ODI series and perform against a strong T20 team is commendable. A lot of credit goes to them. I wish them a safe journey home.

Yeah, it's my first full year as captain, and we started out really well, moving the team from 9th to 4th in the world rankings. However, it's disappointing to see how we've fallen off a bit in the last few series. When a team starts to decline, you can sense it, and it's something we’ll need to address in 2025. That said, I want to thank the boys for their efforts throughout 2024, and to all the fans across the Caribbean, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"
Mahedi Hasan (Player of the Series): "Yeah, during the World Cup the team combination was different and that's why I did not play.

I played during the Global T20 and I gained experienced. I enjoy bowling in these kind of wickets and it worked out well for me.

(Against Nicholas Pooran) Yeah, I know Pooran because he is very dangerous. I had a plan against him and really happy that it worked out well for me.

Yeah, we were disappointed to lose the ODI Series. The boys were very hungry and we turned it around in this series. We are now ready for the Champions Trophy."
Player of the Series: Mahedi Hasan (8 wickets)
Jaker Ali (Player of the Match): "This has been a fantastic tour for me! Today, the wicket was much better for batting, so I decided to take my time and then go for it. Two run-outs in one over, both involving me, were disappointing, but I was relieved to make up for those runs later. I didn’t perform well during the World Cup, but I was determined to make up for it in this series."
