Breaking News: Ravichandran Ashwin retires from all forms of international cricket.
Pat Cummins (Australia Captain): "I mean it would have been better if we were 2-1. But a lot of rain in this Test. The guys have stepped up really well and happy with it.
Poor Josh but it is one of those things. I guess the few rain breaks helped us a bit to get going.
Day five can be a bit up and down. Not a lot of cricket was played on it. It was challenging when the ball was hard.
Smithy and Travis' innings were fantastic. Also, Carey's innings was wonderful to get us to 450. Nathan looked really good yesterday. Starcy took wickets. So, happy with their efforts and just about ticked off the boxes.
(On Boxing Day Test) It will be amazing. It's one of those things here in Australia that you wake up on the Boxing Day and to get a packed house, it can't get any better."
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "We will take that. To have interruptions like that wasn't great but going to Melbourne with 1-1 pretty much gives us that confidence to try and pull things towards us.
The situation we were in after lunch we wanted somebody to stand up and take the game through keeping in mind the weather and everything. We knew we won't have a full game. Credit to Jadeja and Rahul, they were magnificent. At the back end, Akash Deep and Bumrah showed character and fight. With the ball all these guys were very good. Bumrah was brilliant and well supported by Akash and Siraj.
Akash wants to stay in the battle. He has got some talent. Very new to international cricket but games like this can teach him many things. Couple of guys in group as well who can take things through difficult moments. These are the kind of guys we need in our team."
Travis Head (Player of the Match): "It feels like we batted a long ago. Two days ago. It was quite nice contributing. With rain playing spoilsport but we set up things nicely in the first innings.
Challenging wicket. It was doing a lot off the wicket and pleased to get some runs under my belt and to get a good partnership with Steve.
I just try to sum up the conditions in the moment. In this series, I have always felt confidence once I got in. I'm feeling proud to contribute to the team and you have to go big once you get in.
Pretty relaxed communications with Steve. I felt he was back in rhythm. He was going well and he gives me full freedom and full confidence and it's like he is going to be there for a long period.
I feel that's what I'm doing well at the moment. I try to navigate through different problems. But I feel my awareness is good and I'm feeling the conditions good.
(On being a bit gingerly while batting in the second innings) It's a bit sore but I'll be fine."
