Goodnight and CHEERS!
10:20 PM IST: We have had a low scoring game here in Bready and at the end of it all, it was the Leinster Lightning who held their nerves to win the game by 3 wickets with 28 balls to spare to notch up their first win in the competition. There was not enough runs on the board for the North West Warriors and while their bowlers tried, it was all in vain. A deserved win for Leinster Lightning.

Chasing a gettable score of 184 on a challenging surface, Leinster lost skipper Tim Heatley Tector early. Gavin also did not trouble the scorers today. Jack Tector scored 39 off 56 while opening the batting and gave the team a good start. Graham Ford chipped in with a useful 37 off 37 balls. But it was Samuel Harbinson who held the innings together and anchored the chase. He was unbeaten on 48* off 64 balls and got his side over the line. Fionn Hand chipped in with 24 off 30 balls. Barry McCarthy was unbeaten in the end with 9* off 23 balls as Leinster got over the line in 45.2 overs. 6 extras were given by the fielding side.

All the North West Warriors bowlers tried their heart out. Craig Young and Ryan MackBeth picked up a couple of wickets apiece. A wicket apiece for Graham Hume, Cian Robertson, and Andy McBrine the skipper who kept things tight alongside Robertson. But it was a bridge too far as they were defending an under par score on that wicket.

Earlier in the game, Leinster Lightning won the toss and opted to chase under overcast conditions. The Warriors got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Stephen Doheny and Aniruddha Chore. Chore was the first to go when the score was 49 in the 11th over. He made 16. Doheny held the innings together and scored a good 46 off 55 balls. Skipper Andy McBrine went early for 5. Scott MacBeth scored 23 off 31 balls. William McClintock scored a useful 23 off 31 balls while Craig Young got a quickfire 11 off 15 balls as Warriors were bowled out for 183 in 44.4 overs with as many  22 extras given by the fielding side.

All the Leinster bowlers bowled well. Fionn Hand was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/51 in 10 overs. He was ably supported by Barry McCarthy who finished with figures of 2/30 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets apiece also to Samuel Harbinson who bowled 7 overs for 25 runs and to the spin bowler Gavin Hoey who finished with figures of 2/20 in 7.4 overs. It was this bowling effort that propelled Leinster to a good win today.

So, Leinster Lightning wins this game by 3 wickets to notch up their first win in the competition. While it's back to the drawing board for the North West Warriors for the coming games.
45.2 R MackBeth to S Harbinson
1 Good length delivery, angling into the batter, Samuel Harbinson leans forward and flicks that towards the mid-on region and takes a quick single to complete the chase!  Leinster Lightning win this game by 3 wickets.

4 FOUR!!! Back of a length delivery on the middle and leg stump line, Samuel Harbinson looks to work on the off side but gets the inside edge of the bat and past the keeper, through the fine leg for four runs.
