Rachel Trenaman is another Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed batter and can bowl occasional leg-breaks as well. She is a renowned name in her nationâs domestic circuit, representing New South Wales Breakers and Hobart Hurricanes.
Born in Broken Hill, the allrounder made her Breakers debut as a 15-year-old in late 2016, before getting named in the Sydney Thunder squad for WBBL|03. However, she didnât play, even a single game, that season.
In early 2018, aged 16, Trenaman was appointed captain of Australia's 50-over side for an under-19 tour of South Africa, where she made scores of 122 and 91, apart from bagging some crucial scalps.
Later in 2018, the allrounder made her WBBL debut in WBBL|04, where she played a couple of games. In April 2019, Cricket Australia awarded her with a contract with the National Performance Squad ahead of the 2019â20 season.
Trenaman has also been vocal about mental health and took some time away from the game to focus on her mental health, in late 2019.
The youngster was named in Hobart Hurricanesâ squad for the 2021-22 edition of the league, but she will be missing the entire season due to an ACL injury.
