An explosive right-handed opening batter, Muhammad Waseem plays for the United Arab Emirates at the international level.
Known for his hitting abilities, Waseem made a name for himself during the 2021 T10 League competition. Playing for Northern Warriors against Pune Devils, Waseem equalled the record for the fastest fifty in T10 cricket. He reached this iconic landmark in just 12 deliveries and remained unbeaten on 56 off just 13 balls.
In October 2021, Waseem was included in the UAE squad for their only T20I game against Namibia. In his debut game against a formidable Namibia side, Waseem scored a brisk 36-ball 39, but the innings couldnât prevent Namibia from winning the match.
In the very same month, Waseem etched his name in history books, when the swashbuckling batter smashed his first century in T20I cricket against Ireland. He scored an unbeaten 107 from just 62 deliveries and announced his arrival in some style.
Apart from UAE, Waseem has also played for the Northern Warriors in the T10 League and for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League.
