Milestone
Karachi Kings have begun their campaign on a regal note. They will face the defending champions Lahore Qalandars in their next game on Sunday, March 29. Quetta Gladiators be in action on the same day against Hyderabad Kingsmen.

The remaining four teams kickstart their season tomorrow. Peshawar Zalmi will take on debutants RawalPindiz in the afternoon game, while Islamabad United will lock horns with a new look Multan Sultans in the evening. Our coverage for the former will start at 2 PM IST (1:30 PM local time)

Do join us for the double header tomorrow. For now, this is Darpan Tikiya signing off on the behalf of Ajay Pal Singh, AkshayaKrishna Polya, Zeeshan Naiyer and Aman. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the globe. See you soon!
Saud Shakeel (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "[On chasing 181] I think we had a rusty start in the field. We didn't bowl well. They played better cricket than us. We weren't prepared well. Just need to forget this game.

[On Shamyl Hussain] Yeah, the way we started in the powerplay. I have been seeing him play for a long time, I see a lot of potential in him. He batted well, hit the ball cleanly and that's why our batting powerplay went good.

[Where he thinks the match slipped away] I think it was my wicket. We lost the momentum there, we took the game too deep. If we had taken chances in the middle, we could have got the momentum back, I feel."
David Warner (Karachi Kings captain): "(Thoughts on the performance?) At the beginning, we thought 170 was going to be par. We lost a few wickets in between with some poor shots, including myself. I though Moeen Ali batted really well to push us to a good score. The spinners bowled really well in the middle.

(Plans after Gladiators' good start) It was about how can we bring it back. The way we build pressure by restricting boundaries was really good. Zamps (Adam Zampa) was fantastic.

(Energy in the group?) When there is no crowd, you can fade away sometimes. But the energy is good. We are going for some paddle ball tomorrow night."
Moeen Ali (POTM): "[On playing spin] Yeah, two very good spinners. I haven't faced them much before. The wicket wasn't as good as it was at the start. We started pretty well in the powerplay. Both teams did. But then it wasn't easy to hit the ball, you had to play good cricketing shots and not panic really. I mean, I think years ago I would have panicked but I think a bit of experience helps.

[On being calm] Yeah, I am pretty calm. I know when to go. It is just about knowing how to handle the situations.

[On facing Usman Tariq] He is just very different. Obviously, he is a world class spinner. I think he breaks your rhythm as a batter. I just try to delay as much as I can. Yeah, he bowled really well.

[On bowling lengths] Just tried to spin the ball. It gripped a bit, you try to hit the top of the stumps.

[On the perfect start] Yeah, nice to get points on the board. Very early, but as I said good to have two points on the board even if it is an ugly win."
