Khawaja Muhammad Nafay is a promising Pakistani batter, born on February 13, 2002. A right-handed batter and occasional right-arm off-break bowler, Nafay has quickly risen through the ranks in T20 cricket.
His breakthrough came in January 2023, when he was signed by Chattogram Challengers for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), making his professional T20 debut against Khulna Tigers.
His performances in franchise cricket caught the attention of the Quetta Gladiators management, who discovered his batting videos on Facebook. In December 2023, he was drafted by Quetta Gladiators for the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He made an instant impact, scoring a brilliant 60 off 31 balls against Lahore Qalandars on February 19, 2024. During that innings, he played only one dot ball, setting a PSL record for the fewest dot balls faced in an innings of 30+ balls.
Though still early in his career, Nafay has shown great potential, especially in short-format cricket, and is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future of Pakistan cricket.
