A tall left-arm pacer who is known for his booming inswingers, Kalana Perera is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer for Sinhalese Sports Club. The youngster was a part of Sri Lanka U-19 setup for the 2018 u-19 World Cup but a premature injury in the warmup match saw him sidelined for the entire tournament.
Perera made a comeback and fought his way into Sri Lanka emerging team making his List A debut against Oman Emerging team on November 14th, 2019. One of the finest moments in the youngster’s career came in the 2020/21 SLC Twenty20 tournament as he led Sinhalese Sports Club to their maiden title since its inauguration in 2005.
After cementing his spot in the limited-overs team for Sinhalese, Perera was drafted in by the SLC Blues team for the 2021 edition of the SLC Invitational League. Predominantly a white-ball cricketer, Perera has made great strides in the past few years to secure a spot in the domestic white-ball team to have a chance of representing his country.
