Ella Briscoe (born 2 September 2005) is an emerging Australian cricketer who plays as a right-handed middle-order batter and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. A product of Australia’s youth pathway, she first came into wider prominence through her participation in the 2024 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, where she delivered solid all-round contributions for the Australia U19 squad. Across the tournament, she scored 98 runs at an average of 32.67 with a strike rate close to 89, and her highest score of 27 came against South Africa U19. With the ball she added value as a supporting seamer, claiming 3 wickets at an average of 26, including best figures of 1/7 against New Zealand U19. Her athleticism in the field was evident as well, taking 7 catches during the competition.
Briscoe’s consistent performances through junior cricket paved the way for her shift into senior domestic structures. She earned a call-up to the Sydney Thunder squad, representing them in the Women’s Big Bash League, and continues with the club for the WBBL 11 season. Although still early in her senior T20 career, she has already featured in WBBL matches as a middle-order batter, gaining valuable exposure at the elite level.
