Achini Kulasuriya Profile, Career & Stats

A prolific bowling all-rounder, Achini Kulasuriya is a right-arm medium pacer who is also a handy batswoman down the order. 

Kulasuriya made her ODI and T20I debut when Sri Lanka toured New Zealand for the ODI series. She played her debut match in the 4th match of the ODI series which unfortunately Sri Lanka lost. On the same tour, the star pacer also made her T20I debut against New Zealand on November 22nd, 2015, but remained wicketless in her first T20 match. 

Although she failed to consistently feature in her team's lineup for the next three-four years, the allrounder was actively involved in the 2016 Women's Development Tri-Series with England Academy and Australia A, picking up nine wickets during the tournament. Her impressive figure of 3/50 against the mighty Aussies in their own backyard was hailed by the cricketing fraternity.

Yet to feature in any international fixtures since March 2020, the Matale-born lost her place to several youngsters in the squad but with the experience, she brings to the table, Sri Lanka still backs the southpaw in prestigious ICC tournaments.
