Player Bio

Muhammad Zuhaib Khan is a promising young leg spinner from the United Arab Emirates. After strong performances in domestic and franchise cricket, he made his UAE One Day International debut against Canada on February 28, 2024, followed by his T20I debut against Scotland later in March.

Zuhaib’s breakthrough came in the International League T20 2024, where, at just 19 years of age, he finished as the leading wicket-taker for Gulf Giants with 11 scalps, including a match-winning four-wicket haul against Sharjah Warriors. The 2003-born cricketer's journey to success is unique; he largely taught himself the art of leg-spin by studying online videos of Aussie great Shane Warne before polishing his skills under the guidance of former West Indian leggie Devendra Bishoo at the Sharjah Cricket Academy. He has often spoken of drawing inspiration from modern spin greats such as Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.

After high school, Zuhaib faced the difficult choice of pursuing academics or cricket. With the encouragement of his father, he chose to chase his cricketing dreams—and the decision has already begun to bear fruit. Beyond his bowling, he showcased his fearless batting during the Hong Kong Sixes 2024, where he struck seven sixes in a blistering 14-ball 53 against Pakistan. Also, in a T20I game against Nigeria in July 2025, Zuhaib claimed his best T20 figures of 5/21.
