He was born on February 25 2000. The 26-year-old has played 14 matches in the TNPL for three different teams. He represented Nellai Royal Kings in 2018 and 2019 before shifting his base to Madurai Panthers for the 2021 season. Lingesh further went on to join Kovai Kings, making his return to the league after five years in 2026. The data presented in the above table highlights how Deeban Lingesh has redeemed himself in the TNPL after three underhwhelming seasons. He is currently the joint highest wicket-taker in the TNPL 2026 alongside Trichy's K Easwaran, having bagged 15 wickets at a superb strike rate of 8. Deeban Lingesh as IPL prospect: Teams that can target TNPL sensationTalking about Deeban Lingesh's bowling style, he is a medium pacer who generally operates the new ball in the powerplay. Although Lingesh doesn't have raw pace in his arsenal, he can make the top-order batter fall into his trap through movement and accuracy. Lingesh can generate swing in the air and move the ball off the deck as well. Therefore, teams that are searching for new-ball specialists might show interest in the 26-year-old in the upcoming IPL auction. If Deeban Lingesh registers for the IPL 2027 auction, Mumbai Indians could be one of the high-profile teams which might bid for the pace bowler. MI were let down by the likes of Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar, and Lingesh could be a valuable addition to their setup if they want to increase their pace stocks. On a similar note, Kolkata Knight Riders, a team that felt the absence of quality pacers due to multiple injury setbacks, could show interest in the promising TNPL bowler. CSK and Punjab Kings might also join the race, with their frontline seamers disappointing them in the IPL 2026 season. Also Read: Brydon Carse Arrest Details Reveal New Alleged Assault Connection
