Notably, Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field first. The decision backfired despite early wicket as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Dhruv Jurel stitched a quickfire 50-run stand. Meanwhile, Sooryavanshi scripted historic feat as he slammed the most sixes by an Indian in a single IPL season.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Shatter Six Hitting Record
Notably, in the match against Delhi Capitals, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slammed 3 sixes. With that, he took his six-hitting feat to 43 in IPL 2026. Previously, Abhishek Sharma held the record for smashing 42 sixes for SRH in IPL 2024. Here is the complete list.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi started his innings with a six off Lungi Ngidi. With that, he joined an elite list of players to start their innings with a six on three occasions.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's IPL 2026 Season So Far
Shedding light on Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the 15-year-old missed the chance to breach the 500-run mark in IPL 2026. The youngster has scored 486 runs this season, averaging 40.50. The most important part is that Sooryavanshi has batted with a strike-rate of 234.78.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has matured more in IPL 2026 as the entire top-order is now dependant on him and the youngster has overshadowed Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top-order.
The southpaw has scored a century and two fifty-plus scores. However, he hasn't been able to score a fifty against Delhi Capitals. Nonetheless, despite the 15-year-old's wicket, Rajasthan Royals are going strong and have put 156/2 on the board after 13.1 overs.
