On Sunday, May 17, Delhi Capitals are hosting Rajasthan Royals for IPL 2026 match 62. It is a survival game for the Axar Patel-led side as a defeat would end their dreams of reaching the playoffs. RR, on the other hand, have the chance to enter the top four with a win.
For Rajasthan Royals, Riyan Parag is fit and back to lead the side after missing out on a crucial fxiture last time against Gujarat Titans where Yashasvi Jaiswal captained the side. However, they have dealt a heavy blow as Ravindra Jadeja is not playing today's match.
Why Is Ravindra Jadeja Not Playing In DC vs RR Match?
Notably, there is no injury setback, but Riyan Parag, during the toss, stated that they want to manage Ravindra Jadeja's workload, which is why the southpaw is not playing today's match against Delhi Capitals.
"Tonight, we have one change. Jaddu bhai misses out due to his load management and Ravi Singh debuts for us," remarked Riyan Parag at the toss.

Interestingly, Rajasthan Royals last played an IPL match since May 9 which was against Gujarat Titans. Hence, the 2008 winners have had ample time to rest. Therefore, the workload management statement made little to no sense.

Talking about the toss, two captains - Riyan Parag and Axar Patel walked down the track for the coin flip. The luck favoured Delhi Capitals who opted to field first.
