Delhi script History With Highest-Ever T20 Score In Women's Cricket
It is important to note that Delhi made history and broke the previous record held by Goa, who scored 257/2 against Arunachal Pradesh during the 2019-20 season to set the highest-ever T20 score.
With Delhi's impressive total of 262/6, the team moved to the top of the list of highest team scores in women's domestic T20 cricket.
Delhi's total is also the 11th-highest score in women’s T20 cricket overall, with the rest of the totals coming in women’s T20 international matches.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Delhi lost opening batter Vanshika Lila early at a low score of 9 runs. However, Tanisha Singh and Priya Punia changed the course of the innings.
The pair added 160 runs in just 66 balls for the second wicket, taking Delhi past the 175-run mark. Punia scored a quick 59 off 28 balls at a strike rate of 211.
Hyderabad struggled to keep up with the required run rate during the chase. Opener G Trisha scored 80 off 52 balls, and the team finished at 154/8, handing Delhi a convincing 108-run victory.

Tanisha Singh was the standout performer of the match, as she scored 119 runs off 47 balls, which included 25 fours and one six.
She reached her century in just 38 balls, making it the joint third-fastest hundred in women’s T20 cricket. Only India's Kiran Navgire, who scored a century in 34 balls, and New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, who reached the milestone in 36 balls, have done it faster.
Tanisha Singh's century matched West Indies batter Deandra Dottin, who also scored a 38-ball century against South Africa in 2010.
It is important to note that Tanisha Singh went unsold at the WPL 2027 mini-auction held on October 28. However, if she continues to impress, she might still be included in the WPL 2027, as two slots are still available.
