On Thursday, July 23, India and Zimbabwe locked horns at the Harare Stadium for 1st of three T20I matches. Shreyas Iyer and Sikandar Raza walked down the pitch for the all-important toss, which again went in India’s favour.
Notably, Shreyas Iyer is leading India in his 8th T20I match and is still searching for his maiden win as India captain. However, the only positive under his tenure has been his luck at the toss.

In the 1st T20I, India win the toss and opted to field first. It was the 8th consecutive occasion when Iyer won the toss, and he has now scripted a new feat, never achieved before feat in Men’s T20I history.

Shreyas Iyer Positive About Changes Of Fortunes In Zimbabwe
Ahead of the 1st T20I between India and Zimbabwe, Shreyas Iyer spoke to the press and was positive about change of fortunes.
“We definitely had a rough patch in England, but we got a lot of positives out of that. We got to know what we have to build as a team going forward, what kind of presence of mind and awareness and adaptability we need once we step on to the field," remarked Shreyas Iyer.

"This is going to be a great challenge for us. Some of us are playing for the first time here. The quicker we adapt, the better result we would be getting,” he added.
