Sahibzada Farhan has blazed the Multan Sultans to a historic win over Hyderabad Kingsmen in match number eight of the PSL 2026 season. Chasing a monumental target of 226, the Sultans made lightwork of Kingsmen’s formidable total courtesy of an electrifying and unbeaten century from Farhan, the second of his PSL career.

Notably, the innings also marked the ninth T20 century overall for the prolific Pakistani opener, as he levelled up with Indian great Virat Kohli and inched closer to ‘Men in Green’ icon Babar Azam in an elite list.

Sahibzada Farhan slapped his ninth T20 century through the course of his unbeaten 106 off 57 balls against Hyderabad Kingsmen in match eight of the PSL 2026 season. The prolific right-hander clattered seven boundaries and eight huge sixes at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, as the Sultans cantered to an emphatic six-wicket win in just 18.4 overs in a chase of 226.

With his latest century, Farhan inched closer to national teammate and Pakistan great Babar Azam in terms of listing the highest number of 100-plus scores in T20 cricket among Pakistan batters. Here is a look at all Pakistan batters with most T20 centuries to their names.

Sahibzada Farhan also levelled up with modern-day all-format legend Virat Kohli to be ranked joint-fourth among the world’s leading century-makers in T20 matches. Former West Indies opener Chris Gayle continues to top the century charts by a landslide, and he is followed by Babar Azam and David Warner.

Incidentally, this is not the first instance where Sahibzada Farhan has ruffled Virat Kohli’s statistics. Just a month ago in Sri Lanka, the Pakistani opener aggregated 383 runs in just six innings of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Farhan’s prolific aggregate helped him soar past Kohli in terms of listing the highest number of runs in a single T20 World Cup edition.

What’s next for Sahibzada Farhan?

Sahibzada Farhan started off the ongoing PSL 2026 season for Multan Sultans with an early dismissal against Islamabad United last weekend. With a century in his pocket against Hyderabad Kingsmen on April 1, the cricketer has turned the campaign around for himself as he aims to replicate his T20 World Cup heroics in the Pakistani league.

With two wins in two matches, the Multan Sultans team has now taken the top spot on the PSL 2026 points table. Farhan and the rest of his Sultans colleagues will now be taking on Lahore Qalandars in match number 11 of the tournament on Friday, April 3 later this week. The match will also be hosted by the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
