Pakistan record lowest ODI score vs Bangladesh [Source: AFP]
Pakistan came into the ODI series against Bangladesh with a relatively inexperienced team. However, the Men in Green were still expected to deliver the goods against the Tigers in their backyard, but the team got a reality check as the Bangladesh team ran riot, and dismantled the visitors in a one-sided battle.
Bangladesh won the toss, and on a spicy wicket, the Tigers decided to test the Pakistan batters. The decision paid off as the Men in Green had no answer against a rampaging Nahid Rana as the pacer bagged a five-wicket haul, and Pakistan cricket stooped to a new low, as they got bundled out for a mere 114.
Interestingly, this was Pakistan’s lowest-ever ODI score recorded against Bangladesh. The previous lowest against the Tigers was 161, which Pakistan registered during the 1999 World Cup.
Pakistan's lowest ODI scores vs Bangladesh
| Score | Year | Venue |
| 114 | 2026 | Mirpur |
| 161 | 1999 | Nottingham |
| 177 | 2011 | Chattogram |
| 202 | 2002 | Chattogram |
| 233 | 2008 | Mirpur |
In the 1999 World Cup, Pakistan had a strong squad, but they were stunned by Bangladesh in a low-scoring game, and the 161 that the team recorded remained their lowest score, up until today, when Pakistan cricket crumbled under pressure.
The other lowest scores against Bangladesh were 177, 202, and 233, but none were more humiliating than what the team recorded in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Nahid Rana runs riot as Pakistan crumbles under pressure
On a wicket that assisted the pacers, Bangladesh bowler Nahid Rana was unplayable as the Pakistan batters had no answer to his sublime bowling. The Men in Green looked clueless against the Bangladesh bowler as he scalped 5 wickets to stun the visitors.
He picked up the wickets of Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain, Mohammad Rizwan, and Salman Agha- all big fishes as the team crumbled and stooped to a new low in ODIs.
Interestingly, all five of his wickets were of Pakistan's best players, showcasing Rana's ability to dismiss the best batters of the opposition team.

How the Pakistan innings unfolded in 1st ODI
Put into bat by the Tigers, Pakistan were off to a decent start as Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat added 41 runs for the opening wicket to frustrate the Bangladesh bowlers. However, once Rana dismissed Farhan, wickets tumbled like a pack of cards.
Rana was unplayable as every Pakistan batter struggled to hit him for runs. Apart from Farhan, he also got other prized wickets, and was amply supported by Mehidy Hasan Miraz, as the Tigers crumbled Pakistan for 82/9.
Faheem Ashraf provided a bit of resistance as he scored 37 off 47 balls, but that was not enough as the team was dismantled for their lowest-ever ODI score vs the Tigers.
Pakistan team trolled on social media
The Men in Green produced a disastrous batting performance against Bangladesh in the first ODI, and after getting knocked over cheaply, the Pakistan team was trolled heavily for their shambolic display.
While some Pakistan fans blamed Shaheen Afridi and the management for ruining the team, others came in support of Babar Azam, as they feel the national team is nothing without him.
