India and England are all set to face each other in an exciting five-match T20I series. England enter the series after not playing a T20I since their heartbreaking seven-run defeat against India in the semi-final of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer's India recently suffered a T20I series defeat against Ireland and will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance.

The entire five-match series will be played in England. The first T20I is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 1, at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street.

England will be eager to take revenge for their World Cup semi-final loss in front of their home fans. On the other hand, India will aim to register their first T20I series.

Apart from the team battle, several England players have a chance to achieve major personal milestones during the IND vs ENG T20I series.

Records That England Players Can Break In IND vs ENG T20I Series

Most hundreds in T20Is: Phil Salt Can Go Past Rohit Sharma, Glenn Maxwell

England stylish opener Phil Salt is just one century away from joining an elite list of batters with the most hundreds in T20Is. At present, Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell jointly hold the record with five T20I centuries each.

Notably, Salt has scored 2,533 runs in 60 T20Is, including four centuries. Given his excellent form, he has a strong chance of scoring another ton during the five-match series and equalling the record.

Most Fifty-Plus Scores Against India: Jos Buttler Chasing Quinton de Kock's record

Former England captain Jos Buttler is close to creating history against India in T20Is. Notably, Buttler has scored 5 fifties against India and now needs two more fifty-plus scores to become the player with the most fifty-plus scores against India in T20Is.

Currently, South Africa star opener Quinton de Kock holds the record with six fifty-plus scores against India. Notably, Buttler will have the opportunity to surpass that mark if he performs consistently throughout the IND vs ENG T20I series.

Most four-wicket hauls in T20Is: Adil Rashid Can Break Huge Record

England leg-spinner Adil Rashid is also on the verge of a unique bowling record. He needs just one more four-wicket haul to go past Chris Jordan and become the England player with the most four-wicket hauls in T20Is.

Notably, Rashid has been one of England’s most dependable bowlers in the shortest format, and another outstanding spell in this series could help him achieve the milestone.

Highest run-scoring opener against India: Jos Buttler close to achieve another milestone

Jos Buttler has another major record in sight during the series. He currently has 439 runs as an opening batter against India in T20I cricket and needs only 75 more runs to become the highest run-scoring opener against India in the format.

The current record is held by South Africa opener Quinton de Kock. If the stylish right-handed batter enjoys a good series at the top of the order, he could overtake de Kock and add another impressive achievement to his T20I career.
