Puducherry icon Aman Khan made an electrifying century in the ongoing Pondicherry Premier League 2026 season.

Taking on Mahe Megalo Strikers in match number 16 of the tournament at the Cricket Association Puducherry in Siechem Ground, the cricketer blasted 129 runs off just 43 balls at an astonishing strike rate of 300.

Aman’s innings catapulted the Villianur Mohit Kings' total to a monumental 241-5 in 20 overs. In the process, the 29-year-old all-rounder also joined a huge Indian record already set by Aman Rao and India’s teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Aman Khan blasted 129 runs off just 43 balls in a T20 game against the Mahe Megalo Strikers in Siechem Ground on Wednesday, July 15.

CSK star blazes past Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in a huge list

Aman Khan also surpassed Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for a huge national T20 record.

His 34-ball hundred now marks the second fastest century ever recorded by any Indian player in an Indian T20 league.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi slipped down to number three and four on the list. The belligerent left-handed opener tonked a 35-ball ton during the IPL 2025 season last year, and whacked another 36-ball century in the recently-concluded IPL 2026.

Aman’s 34-ball hundred is now ranked the second fastest among all Indian players in an Indian T20 league behind only Hyderabad’s Aman Rao Perala. Here is a look at six of India’s fastest T20 centurions in Indian T20 league matches.

Interestingly, four of the six fastest instances have been recorded in IPL games, unlike Aman Khan’s innings that took place in a   Pondicherry Premier League 2026 game.

  • Vaibhav Sooryavanshi: 36-Ball century, IPL 2026
  • Yusuf Pathan: 37-ball century, IPL 2026
  • Priyansh Arya: 39-ball century, IPL 2025

A look at Aman Khan’s CSK and overall IPL career

With Aman raking in some staggering T20 records in the Pondicherry Premier League 2026 season, the cricketer is yet to leave his mark in his IPL career.

Previously, he played just one match for the KKR franchise in the IPL 2022 season. The following year, he turned up for the Delhi Capitals for 11 games.

While Aman Khan was roped in by the CSK management in late 2025 for the IPL 2026 season, the 29-year-old spent the entire tournament on the sidelines. His latest Pondicherry T20 League fireworks may strengthen his case for a long-awaited IPL comeback next year.
