Punjab Kings' (PBKS) star fast-bowler, Arshdeep Singh, has found himself in yet another embarrassing act. Apart from his on-field performances, he has been the talking points of the season, especially for his social media posts. Arshdeep Singh's racial controversyRecently, a Snapchat video posted on Arshdeep Singh's account went viral, in which the PBKS seamer made racial comments about Tilak Varma and Sai Sudharsan. After the video got picked up, netizens got fired up and criticised Arshdeep for the same. The case hogged so much limelight that even former cricketers started questioning the young India seamer, after which the PBKS' official issued a statement on the Snapchat mess. "He clearly looks uncomfortable," a user wrote. Another netizen asked the BCCI to take actions against the PBKS pacer. People have also categorised it as "bullying". Here's how netizens have reacted on Arshdeep Singh's comments on Priyansh Arya:Rohan Kumar @RohanKumar82102 @TechWiz97 He clearly looks uncomfortable. Sumit Gupta @sumit1gupta @TechWiz97 Why is @BCCI not taking action against @arshdeepsinghh this is completely unacceptable bullying behaviour by him. Boys say all kind of things in sports but as long as banter is private it’s ok. Why make someone’s embarrassing moment a social media event? Mohammad Kamran @Mr_WicketKeeper @TechWiz97 He should not post even if he is joking with mates ... @unstoppable720 @TechWiz97 Bhai itna bhi kya hai ? Doston me chalta h itna 🤦🏻♀️ Suliman Iqbal @SulimanIqbal1 @TechWiz97 @lostboyytweets Arshdeep is lucky to be in this era, in the time of Ganguly,Kumble and Yuvraj/Harbajhan, I think he would have received a few tight slaps for such immature behaviour. He has no civic sense of personal space, you can see his team mate is not comfortable with the recording. Sudheen kamath @KamathSudheen @TechWiz97 Appearances??? Arshdeep Singh himself is not a stud in appearance to talk about others, however the idea to target just one individual also is not great. This attitude of talking about how another person appears is a common one! 🚀 @KINGSX11_ I Litterally Whole-heartedly Want Arshdeep To Be Sacked For Some time From Indian Team To Know How Much Commitment Is needed for Professional Athlete To Became The best. 18 CR isn’t A Joke Man No Bowler In this League is getting That And he isn’t returning 50% of wht We want from Knight Rider @iKnightRider19 These Punjab Players like @arshdeepsinghh @thisisbrar is bullying @arya_priyansh18 their own team mate..How can @PunjabKingsIPL @BCCI @IPL allowing this nonsense Cricketers to survive in the team ? Cricket Central @CricketCentrl Arshdeep Singh has struck again with his thoughtless behavior. Disguising mockery as a 'joke,' he has once again publicly humiliated a teammate Priyansh Arya.😡 Arshdeep Singh's form in IPL 2026On the cricketing front, the Arshdeep has clearly fatigued as he joined the PBKS camp straight after winning the 2026 T20 World Cup for India. In 13 innings, he has picked up just 14 wickets at an economy rate of nearly 10. Although the left-arm quick went wicketless in the three games this season, he was playing brilliant second fiddle to Xavier Barlett and Vijaykumar Vyshak. However, in the second half of the tournament, the entire PBKS bowling unit has witnessed a serious dip in form, with no bowler able to perform at crucial junctures. As a result, they have lost games on a bounce after not breaking a sweat in the first seven games. How will PBKS qualify? The Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings are currently in fifth place, with 13 points after 13 games. Meanwhile, Rajasthan are better placed than them - 14 points after 13 outings. Moreover, Kolkata also have a chance, but is placed just like Punjab, with 13 points after as many games. Thus, for PBKS to qualify from this stage, they would need to win the final league game, against LSG, first. At the same time, they would need RR to lose their last league game, else it would be over for the Kings. KKR's win won't necessarily eliminate PBKS, but a massive victory may trouble Punjab.
