Another day and another controversy has emerged from the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026). Punjab Kings' (PBKS) star fast-bowler, Arshdeep Singh, has found himself in yet another embarrassing act.
As the PBKS have slipped down on the IPL 2026 Points Table, Arshdeep Singh's performances have been a spot of bother in the latter half of the season.
Apart from his on-field performances, he has been the talking points of the season, especially for his social media posts.
Arshdeep Singh's racial controversy
Recently, a Snapchat video posted on Arshdeep Singh's account went viral, in which the PBKS seamer made racial comments about Tilak Varma and Sai Sudharsan. After the video got picked up, netizens got fired up and criticised Arshdeep for the same.
The case hogged so much limelight that even former cricketers started questioning the young India seamer, after which the PBKS' official issued a statement on the Snapchat mess.

Arshdeep lands in yet another drama, fans call him bully
A week after that drama, Arshdeep Singh finds himself in yet another controversy. This time, he, along with Harpreet Brar, has mocked his teammate Priyansh Arya.
In another video making waves on social media, the 27-year-old can be heard making fun of the young opener's teeth and his smile. Although Arshdeep is nowhere to be seen in the video, netizens have identified him by his voice.
"What a cutie, man! Show me your smile. Show me your teeth (laughs)," Arshdeep Singh gets heard while mocking Priyansh Arya.
It is evident that the youngster was awkward and tried to escape the joke by looking out the bus window while on a phone call.

Fans have started to call out Arshdeep Singh after the recent Snapchat got picked up on X. "He clearly looks uncomfortable," a user wrote.
Another netizen asked the BCCI to take actions against the PBKS pacer. People have also categorised it as "bullying".

Arshdeep Singh's form in IPL 2026
On the cricketing front, the Arshdeep has clearly fatigued as he joined the PBKS camp straight after winning the 2026 T20 World Cup for India. In 13 innings, he has picked up just 14 wickets at an economy rate of nearly 10.
Although the left-arm quick went wicketless in the three games this season, he was playing brilliant second fiddle to Xavier Barlett and Vijaykumar Vyshak.
However, in the second half of the tournament, the entire PBKS bowling unit has witnessed a serious dip in form, with no bowler able to perform at crucial junctures. As a result, they have lost games on a bounce after not breaking a sweat in the first seven games.
How will PBKS qualify?
The Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings are currently in fifth place, with 13 points after 13 games. Meanwhile, Rajasthan are better placed than them - 14 points after 13 outings. Moreover, Kolkata also have a chance, but is placed just like Punjab, with 13 points after as many games.
Thus, for PBKS to qualify from this stage, they would need to win the final league game, against LSG, first.
At the same time, they would need RR to lose their last league game, else it would be over for the Kings. KKR's win won't necessarily eliminate PBKS, but a massive victory may trouble Punjab.
