On Friday, April 24, Gujarat Titans will travel to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to lock horns against the RCB for IPL 2026. It will be the last match of the season at the iconic venue in Bengaluru. Therefore, RCB would look to make it special.

Interestingly, both teams are fresh off a defeat and would look to turn things around from here. RCB suffered a defeat against Delhi Capitals at home, while GT faced a humiliating defeat against the Mumbai Indians.

GT vs RCB Preview

Talking about the Gujarat Titans, they suffered a 99-run defeat against the Mumbai Indians. GT failed to chase 200 and instead tumbled for just 100 runs on the board. It calls for changes, and several new inclusions are expected ahead of their upcoming match against the defending champions.

GT are placed sixth on the table with six points in six matches. The upcoming game is make or break for them because a win would help them enter the top-four and a defeat would seem them in the bottom half of the table.

Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming match, this article will shed light on GT’s strongest playing XI vs RCB.

GT Likely Playing XI vs RCB- Match 34

Openers and Top Order (Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler)

Gujarat Titans will go ahead with the same top-order. Sai Sudharsan needs to return to form, but since he won the orange cap last year, he is most likely to be given a longer rope to prove his mettle and shrug off the one-season wonder tag.

Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler are in brilliant form, and the team would look to ride on their shoulders for a miracle against RCB. The duo has amassed 471 runs combined in this season.

Middle Order and All Rounders (Washington Sundar, Kumar Kushagra, Jason Holder, Anuj Rawat)

Gujarat Titans’ middle-order will undergo a total revamp. Washington Sundar is expected to be the only retention from the last match. The Indian all-rounder has done decently well with 137 runs in six innings.

However, if we shed light on Glenn Phillips, Rahul Tewatia, and Shahrukh Khan, then the trio has amassed just 151 runs combined, which is shambolic. Therefore, the trio is expected to be benched for the RCB match.

In their place, Kumar Kushagra, who rocked the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, will return to the side for his 2nd game of the season. Further, Jason Holder will replace Glenn Phillips, adding an extra seamer to the attack. Meanwhile, Anuj Rawat can be expected as an impact sub to replace Shahrukh Khan in the team.

Bowlers (Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna)

Gujarat Titans’ bowling is on point and require no changes. They had just one off day against the Mumbai Indians, but other than that, they have been brilliant.

The likes of Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Siraj, Krishna and Ashok Sharma have picked up 40 wickets, which is a pretty impressive number.
