Milestone
Rajasthan continue their royal march in IPL 2026. Yes, the tournament is still in its embryonic stages, however, Parag and co. will be delighted with the way things have gone for them so far. Tonight they defeated the team that has been their arch-nemesis in the recent years in a see-saw battle and that will give them plenty of confidence going forward.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have some questions to answer. There is little doubt about the fact that they missed Shubman Gill tonight, but a few more areas need to be looked at as well. They will now fly to Delhi to face the undefeated Capitals next on Wednesday, April 8

On the other hand, RR will lock horns with Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, April 7 in Guwahati. But before all of that, it is a double-header tomorrow too. Ishan Kishan's SRH clash with Rishabh Pant's LSG in the afternoon before CSK host defending champions RCB in the evening.

Of course, we will be here to call the action. Do join us tomorrow. Our coverage begins at 2:30 PM IST. For now, this is Darpan Tikiya signing off on the behalf of AkshayaKrishna Polya, Ajay Pal Singh, Paras Yadav, Aman and Manish Bishnoi. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the globe. Sayonara!

4/41 - Ravi Bishnoi (RR) vs GT, Ahmedabad, 2026, Tonight*
Ravi Bishnoi: Collects the purple cap and wears it. "(On his preparations for this season) It was a tough season last year. But I tried to stick to my process. The key for me is my length. I played domestic cricket and was also on a couple of tours for India.I tried to stick to a good length. If the batter hits me off my length, then it is okay.

(Was it more mental adjustment or physical adjustment that he had to make?) It was mental, physical as well as technical. A lot of effort has goes into the amount of bowling I do, whether it is before the match, or in the domestic season or during the off-season.

(Which wicket was his favourite?) I enjoyed all four wickets. But in the end, Rahul (Tewatia) bhai is considered a master of these situations. So, getting him out then was important and pleasing for me.

(Importance of this performance?) What matters is that we won. It was not just my performance. Tushar Deshpande was excellent in the last over. Before that Jofra Archer bowled a brilliant 19th. So, it was a team effort and that we won is what matters."
Player of the Match: Ravi Bishnoi
Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain): "(On Jofra and Tushar bowling brilliantly in the last two overs) It was just incredible. I think I took a chance thinking, let’s just go full and fast. And the way the boys delivered—you can see my voice is cracking up, I’m just shouting—I was so excited. The fact that they executed what they wanted, it’s insane.

(On why he chose Jofra to bowl the 19th over) I was actually going to switch up the order, so credit to Dhruv Jurel for that. He asked me to go with Jofra in the 19th. So the plan was, because there was like a three-ball difference—it was 15 off 12—I just wanted to take a chance. Just go fast, as fast as possible, as aggressive as possible. If it comes off, it comes off, it looks really good. If it doesn’t, I’ll just be silent and go again next time.

(On promoting Jurel to No. 3) Yeah, I think we have not done a lot of justice to the talent that he possesses. He’s done the hard job—he’s batted at six and seven. But now that we saw we had an opportunity at number three, I was the first one to say he has got to bat number three, and he just showed us why he can. So hopefully this is the start for him and he goes on to get like 700–800 runs and win us the championship.

(On winning both their games) Yeah, I mean, we’re going to celebrate tonight. I’ll forget about it as soon as the sun comes up, and then we’ll focus on Guwahati and what we can do against Mumbai Indians."
