On Sunday, August 2, West Indies will lock horns against Pakistan for the 2nd and final Test. The two teams will square off at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain. The Windies are coming fresh off an emphatic win over Pakistan.

It is a do-or-die Test for Pakistan and Babar Azam, in particular, who is not having the best of starts in his 2nd tenure as Pakistan Test captain. Talking about the 1st Test, Windies, batting first, put just 311 runs on the board.

In reply, Pakistan tumbled for 282. In a low-scoring thriller, Windies managed to register a 90-run win over the Babar Azam-led side. West Indies have not won a Test series against Pakistan since 2000, and they are just a win away from history.

West Indies vs Pakistan Preview

For Pakistan, they have already dealt a heavy blow as Shan Masood has been ruled out of the series with injury.

For West Indies, they have a fixed XI and it would be interesting to see if they would change their playing XI. Hence, this article will shed light on West Indies' predicted playing XI for 2nd Test vs Pakistan 2026.

Openers and Top Order (Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Brandon King, Kavem Hodge)

West Indies are unlikely to make changes to their top-order. Tagenarine Chanderpaul will open the innings with Brandon King. The openers didn't had a great series but the Windies will go ahead with the same openers.

Kavem Hodge will bat at No. 3 and had a brilliant 1st Test. The right-handed batter scored 84 (183), which featured 9 fours but followed it up with a duck.

Middle Order and All Rounders (Amir Jangoo, Shai Hope, Justin Greaves, Roston Chase)

In the middle-order, Amir Jangoo, Shai Hope, Justin Greaves, and Roston Chase will take-over. Shai Hope had a great first Test where he scored 92 (182), which featured six fours and a solitary six.

Justin Greaves didn't do anything significant with the bat but he picked up a five-wicket haul, which featured five wicket-maiden overs. He also picked up a two-wicket hual. Therefore, Windies too won't make changes to their middle-order.
