LSG vs PBKS [Prediction: AFP, AP]The Lucknow Super Giants will host the Punjab Kings in their respective final match of the league stage of IPL 2026 on Saturday, May 23, at 7:30 PM (IST).LSG have already been knocked out of the tournament early, but currently find themselves in some good form. They are at the bottom of the table with only 8 points in 13 games and could leave that spot for the first time in a long time if they end the season on a high against PBKS. On the other hand, PBKS are desperate to get out of the rut and win a match after 6 losses. They are 5th on the table, and a win would give them an outside chance to finish fourth and proceed to the playoffs. As the two sides face off with varied objectives in Lucknow, we explore what to expect from the match. In the last four matches, he has scored two 90s and a hundred and remains a real threat against what has been an expensive bowling lineup. Arshdeep Singh will be crucial to neutralise Marsh early in the innings, considering Marsh has a powerplay strike rate of 166 against left-arm pacers. Prabhsimran Singh vs Prince Yadav Wicketkeeper batter Prabhsimran Singh has been instrumental in PBKS’ success in the early part of IPL 2026. He has scored 441 runs so far and would like to give the team another good start against LSG. He has also been dismissed thrice by the hit-the-deck right-arm pacers in this season’s powerplays, and Prince Yadav is the prime candidate to do the job for LSG. Shreyas Iyer vs Mayank Yadav Shreyas Iyer’s form in IPL 2026 has tapered off after a good start. Despite scoring five fifties, he is yet to cross the 400-run mark in the season. He has also shown a visible struggle against back-of-good length deliveries outside off. This is where Mayank Yadav’s quick bowling would come in handy for LSG, and the bowler could finally get his first wicket of the season. Also Read: Shreyas Iyer To Use Trump Card! Both LSG and PBKS are coming into the match in contrasting forms in the last few matches. The conditions and form are more suited to win this, but due to the law of averages, PBKS might pull off a win to stay alive in the tournament for another day.
