The Lucknow Super Giants will face the Punjab Kings in their final league match of IPL 2026 at the Ekana Stadium on Saturday, at 7:30 PM (IST)

Unfortunately, LSG were the first team to get knocked out of the season, but they have found some form since Josh Inglis’ inclusion in the playing XI and have won a few matches. They are placed at the rock-bottom of the points table with 4 wins in 13 matches; however, they remain dangerous from PBKS’ perspective.

To qualify for the playoffs, this is a must-win match for PBKS before they rely on the Mumbai Indians to beat the Rajasthan Royals. So, as the Super Giants look to end PBKS’ campaign early, we take a look at their strongest lineup for the match.

LSG’s Playing XI vs PBKS- IPL 2026, Match 68

Top-Order: Mitchell Marsh, Josh Inglis, Nicholas Pooran

LSG’s season has completely turned around since Josh Inglis was introduced to this playing XI, as he has been consistently building big partnerships with his Western Australian teammate, Mitchell Marsh.

Marsh has climbed to the top-5 run getters of the season with two 90s and a hundred in the last 4 matches, reaching 563 runs at a strike rate of 163.18. Inglis has scored two fifties, reaching 194 runs in 4 games at 195.95.

They will be followed by Nicholas Pooran, who has scored 232 runs in 13 innings. Despite a poor first half of the season, he has recently scored freely after returning to his favoured top-3.

Middle-Order and All-Rounders: Rishabh Pant (c)(wk), Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Shahbaz Ahmed

Captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant will continue at 4, as he approaches the 300-run mark in the season, striking at 140.19. He will be followed by the duo of Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad at 5 and 6. Both Badoni and Samad were dropped mid-season but returned to the lineup recently and could get a go in the final match of the season as well.

Shahbaz Ahmed will complete the middle-order after doing well in limited opportunities this season. He has stayed unbeaten in 2 innings, scoring 58 runs at a strike rate of 141.46. With the ball, he has 5 wickets in 5 innings.

Considering this is LSG’s last match of the season, they could also try either or both of Mukul Choudhary and Akshat Raghuvanshi in the middle order instead of the options they have already tried.

Bowlers: Mohsin Khan, Akash Singh, Mayank Yadav, Prince Yadav

There is no update on Mohammed Shami’s availability for the PBKS clash after he missed the last match against the Rajasthan Royals. Hence, it is likely that we see the same pace trio of Mohsin Khan, Mayank Yadav and Prince Yadav to end the season on a high.

Prince Yadav is their leading wicket-taker with 16 scalps in 13 games at an economy of 7.5 runs per over, mostly bowling as the first-change bowler. He also earned a national call-up on the back of his IPL 2026 performances recently.

Mohsin Khan will be their new-ball bowler after impressing with 11 wickets in 6 matches at an economy rate of just 7.5 and the best figures of 5/23. He has also bowled 3 maiden overs this season, showing exemplary control. Coming back from a long injury absence, Mayank Yadav will be on the lookout for his first wicket of the season in his 5th appearance as well.

As they end the season on Saturday, there is an outside chance that Arjun Tendulkar is also handed his LSG debut against PBKS.
