Since the PSL has started, Pakistani cricket fans have had another big stage to witness classic T20 action as the tournament delivered unreal drama. Over the years, the tournament has grown bigger, attracting global stars who light up the stage with their heroics. But before the tournament steps into the upcoming 11th edition, it welcomed two new members.
As the tournament expanded, two new teams were introduced to make the competition harder. The Sialkot Stallionz are all set to make their debut in the tournament, but ahead of stepping into the big stage, they pulled off a masterstroke.
In a major move to boost their stature, the franchise has appointed former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram as their President. The Pakistani legend has been one of the greats of the game as his swing has been nothing short of an artistry. His arrival will be a big boost for the side.

The left-arm fast bowler didnβt just play the game, as he redefined the mastery of swings as the opponent batters faced the heat. Even after years of his retirement, a pacer like him is still missing from Pakistan cricket.
As the Stallionz have set their eyes on a successful start to their PSL journey, Akramβs addition to the team adds a lot of value. With years of experience, he can revamp the young pacers of the team, and his leadership lessons will be an added advantage for the side. Stallionz unveil star-studded squad packed with global icons
As the PSL 2026 has been scheduled for March 2026, the high-voltage auction was wrapped up on February 11. Eyeing a powerful start to their campaign, the Sialkot Stallionz assembled a formidable squad filled with proven match-winners. Naming Steve Smith in the squad, they made a great move as his years of experience will be crucial for the side.
Adding to that, they added Aussie firepower into the squad, naming Ashton Turner and Peter Siddle into the squad. Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Nawaz, Shan Masood, Momin Qamar, Muhammad Awais Zafar, and several other Pakistani stars are set to play key roles in strengthening the Stallionz during their maiden campaign.
