Former India opener Virender Sehwag has once again grabbed attention with his trademark humour. This time, he took a playful dig at Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan over a documentary made after the Asia Cup 2025.

Virender Sehwag jokingly suggested that he should launch a full web series on his own career if hitting three sixes can inspire an entire documentary.

The remark came during a viral clip shared by Fever FM. Sehwag reacted to Farhan’s documentary, which highlighted the moment when the star batter smashed three sixes off India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the Asia Cup.

Sehwag Jokes About Launching His Own Web Series After Farhan Documentary

Virender Sehwag, known for his witty comments, questioned the scale of celebration around the incident -

"According to him, he smashed three sixes, and that was enough for a full documentary. I joked that by that logic, I should have a whole web series for scoring 300, 254, and 100 runs. You didn’t dominate every bowler, but you made a documentary on just three sixes. I guess that’s an art, a special kind of talent — but maybe don’t show off that talent too much," he said.

Sahibzada Farhan's documentary after Asia Cup

Sahibzada Farhan had featured in a documentary titled Hero in the Making, released after the Asia Cup. In the film, he reflected on his performance against Jasprit Bumrah and his journey as a cricketer.

At that time, breaking Bumrah's streak of not conceding sixes in T20Is was seen as a big moment in Pakistan. It is important to note that Farhan scored 217 runs in the tournament in 7 matches at an average of 31.00 and a strike-rate of 116.04.

The star batter was the third-highest runs-scorer in the tournament, with Pathum Nissanka at the second position and Abhishek Sharma at the top.

However, the story took another turn in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 clash between India and Pakistan.

In that high-pressure match, Farhan was dismissed for a duck after facing just four balls. His early dismissal led to criticism online and fans revisited his documentary and accused him of focusing too much on one highlight instead of delivering consistent performances.

Despite failing to perform against India, Farhan responded strongly later in the tournament. Playing against Namibia, he scored a brilliant century. He made 100 runs off 58 balls at a strike-rate of 164.18.

With that innings, he became only the second Pakistani batter after Ahmed Shehzad to score a century in a T20 World Cup.

Taking a look at the overall stats in the T20 World Cup 2026, Sahibzada Farhan has made 220 runs in 4 innings at an average of 73.33 and a strike-rate of 164.18. He started the tournament by scoring 47 runs off 31 balls against the Netherlands.

In the second match against the USA, Sahibzada made a quick-fire 73 off 41 balls, but he failed against India and departed for a duck.

Pakistan will next face New Zealand in a Super 8 Group 2 match on February 21, 2026, at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
