Travis Head and Virat Kohli [Source: AFP and X.com]The Virat Kohli vs Travis Head controversy from the IPL 2026 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad just refuses to die down. And now, a fresh video doing the rounds on social media has added another spicy twist to the entire drama. The latest clip has fans convinced that the SRH camp already sensed something was brewing before the post-match handshake line even began. And honestly, the reactions in the video are making cricket fans read between the lines. New viral video changes the mood around the Kohli-Head incident The controversy originally exploded after cameras captured Virat Kohli refusing to shake hands with Travis Head following RCB’s crushing 55-run defeat against SRH. Head stretched out his hand during the customary post-match greetings. Kohli looked away and walked past him without acknowledging the gesture. While the RCB superstar greeted other SRH players moments later, including Pat Cummins, the deliberate snub towards Head became the biggest talking point of the night. Now, a newly surfaced angle from the same moment has fans buzzing again. The clip appears to show the SRH coaching staff, led by former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori, standing on the sidelines while closely watching Kohli and Head approach each other in the handshake line. What grabbed everyone’s attention was their expressions. It almost looked as if they were expecting something awkward to happen.Watch the video below:Ayush @a_lostsoul018 srh knew it was gonna happen.. just look at the reactions of the coaches and management May 23, 2026, 12:36 PM Also Read- Virat Kohli Receives Indirect Dig By Hyderabad Cricket ApexDaniel Vettori and SRH staff looked prepared As Kohli and Head came closer, the SRH support staff could be seen intensely observing the interaction instead of casually moving on after the match. The moment Virat Kohli ignored Head’s handshake, there was visible surprise on some faces. But at the same time, fans also noticed something interesting, the reactions didn’t look completely unexpected. That has sparked massive debate online. Many fans now believe the SRH camp may have already sensed tension between Kohli and Head after their heated on-field exchange earlier in the game. And to be fair, the body language throughout the match hinted that the temperature was rising ball by ball. What happened between Virat Kohli and Travis Head? The sparks reportedly started flying after Kohli’s dismissal for 15 runs. Head allegedly made a cheeky remark while Kohli walked back towards the dugout, joking that the Indian superstar got out before Head even got a chance to bowl to him. That comment seemingly didn’t sit well with Kohli. From there, the atmosphere stayed tense till the final ball. Then came the now-viral handshake snub which split the cricket world right down the middle. Some fans backed Kohli’s competitive attitude, saying emotions run high in elite sport. Others felt post-match handshakes should remain sacred regardless of what happens during the game. Jatin's Take: Fans are divided once again The new video has now opened another can of worms. One section of fans believes the SRH coaching staff reactions prove they already knew things had turned sour between Kohli and Head during the match. Others feel people are simply overanalysing a few facial expressions and turning it into a conspiracy theory. That is the thing with IPL controversies. One camera angle and suddenly everyone becomes a forensic expert. But whether intentional or not, the clip has only poured more petrol on an already raging fire.
