India’s biggest cricket star of the modern era, Virat Kohli, has been handed most of the demands on a priority basis that he made during his time on and off the field. However, a recent report swirling around his departure to London during IPL 2026 has made quite a stir.
Rumours gathered that Virat Kohli has demanded to visit London amid IPL 2026 whenever he gets a long gap and also asked RCB to arrange private jets for him. However, in a recent Instagram story, Kohli shared the official stance on it.
Virat Kohli To Visit London In Between IPL 2026 Schedule?
The 2.5-month long tournament in India is infamous for its long duration and Kohli, who currently resides in London will be missing his home for this span.
Although his wife Anushka Sharma and kids are to visit India during the IPL, reports read that Kohli is willing to travel back and forth from London to India and India to London.
The 'worldinlast24hr' Instagram page shared a report that Kohli has made a big demand regarding this journey. As per the media outlet, Kohli has asked the RCB management for charter flight access between India and London.

The report stated that if there is a gap of more than three days between matches, he will fly to London and return just before the next game.
However, Virat Kohli himself has commented on this demand cryptically, clearing out all the nuances.

Kohli Clears Stance On Departure During IPL 2026
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Kohli shared the picture that the media outlet page had shared on their official handle. Reposting the picture, Kohli captioned it with two laughing emojis, sarcastically mocking the post's truthfulness and thereby denying any possibility of the demand being real.
Kohli posted the story on March 22 in the late afternoon, as the maestro was seen earlier in the RCB nets preparing for their inaugural clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28.
With this rumour of him flying back to London being dismissed by Kohli himself, it is also true that the RCB star has been living in London for most of the time since his retirement from Test and T20I cricket back in 2025.
Notably, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma own a luxurious property in Notting Hill, London, which they bought back in 2024 for approximately 33 crores.
Virat Kohli Joins RCB Camp Ahead Of Tournament
Virat has been enjoying his life at the residence for quite some time now, and even though he missed India's T20 World Cup 2026 win in Ahmedabad, Kohli has flown back to the country to start and amp up the RCB camp with his usual passion and aggression.
After facing Sunrisers Hyderabad in their inaugural clash, RCB will next face Chennai Super Kings in a mega clash on April 5, followed by matches against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians on April 10 and April 12, respectively, before the cricket body releases the next phase of the full IPL 2026 schedule.
