India are taking on England in the fifth and final T20I of the five-match series at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton on Saturday, July 11.

Harry Brook-led England have already clinched the series after taking an unassailable 3-0 lead and will now be aiming to complete a 4-0 series victory.

Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer's India will be eager to end a disappointing campaign on a positive note by avoiding a series whitewash.

As the two sides gear up for the IND vs ENG 5th T20I, all eyes will be on the toss, IND vs ENG playing XIs, and the captains' strategies heading into the contest.

Earlier, the toss was delayed after the Indian team arrived late at the venue because of heavy traffic. It eventually took place at 7:15 PM IST.

IND vs ENG, 5th T20I Toss Update

As for the IND vs ENG 5th T20I toss update, Shreyas Iyer yet again won the toss and opted to bowl first against English Men.

India have made two changes to their lineup from the previous match. Notably, Sanju Samson and Suryansh Shedge have been included in India's playing XI vs England, replacing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Washington Sundar.

Meanwhile, England have made a single change for the fifth T20I. Experienced left-arm spinner Liam Dawson has replaced Rehan Ahmed in the playing XI.

No Explanation For Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's Snub

At the toss, Shreyas Iyer did not reveal the reason behind leaving out young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. However, the decision appears to be part of India's effort to test different combinations after already losing the five-match T20I series.

Notably, Vaibhav was unable to make a big impact after replacing Sanju Samson earlier in the series. The young opener scored 42 runs in three innings at an average of 14.00, failing to convert his starts into significant contributions.

IND Vs ENG, 5th T20I: What the captains had to say

Shreyas Iyer (India captain): "We are going to bowl first. Considering the bowling which we have done in the last few games, I feel we have experienced everything. Based on the conditions today, it is sunny, the wicket is not expected to change much.

(Has the delay effected the mood in the camp?) Not at all. It is another challenge, another day. We are up for the challenge.

(What does he expect from his team?) I want them to give 100% effort. I just want them to have a solid mindset, where they go out there and give their best rather than sulking.

Harry Brook (England Captain): "We would have had a bat, so very happy.

[It's been an amazing series. So for you, so far, a series win in the bag. What is today about?] Well, we've got a little bit of an aim. If we win today, we go to World number one, so that's the back of our mind, but it's the same as what we've done all series, really. Adapt well to the surface and have good communication.
