In the middle of the build-up for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq's bowling action has once again caught the attention of the cricketing world after Australia all-rounder Cameron Green was seen mimicking him after getting out to the bowler in Lahore while trying to chase 199 runs in the second T20I.
While Green tried to imply that the bowler was chucking, it caught the undivided attention of fans and experts on the internet, dividing opinions. Former teammate of Green, Usman Khawaja, came in support of Tariq and asked people to be sensitive before making such allegations.

The recently retired left-hand batter, known for having a strong stance on various issues, took to his Instagram story on February 1, visibly upset and mentioned that the bowler had been cleated twice and was just doing whatever he could to the best of his abilities.
He further asked fans and players to have a perspective and understanding of the issue before jumping to conclusions.
Usman Tariq's genetic condition
Hours after Cameron Green was seen complaining about Tariq's action to his teammates, an old interview of the spinner went viral, where he was seen explaining the unique condition of his elbow and that he had two joints instead of one, like everyone else. He revealed that the elbow was the reason why he could not straighten his arm while bowling.
It is also known that prior to this Australia tour of Pakistan, where he picked 2/16 in the only match played, he was twice reported for suspect action in his time at the Pakistan Super League and had successfully cleared all the tests without any complications.
Days later, he also posted an Instagram story, writing "apology accepted," implying that Green had privately apologized to the player.
Pakistan's trump card for T20 World Cup
In recent months, the 28-year-old spinner has been in some fine form after he finished the Caribbean Premier League as the second-highest wicket-taker with 20 scalps in 10 matches for Trinbago Knight Riders. The season led to him earning a spot in the T20I squad, which will now travel to Sri Lanka for the tournament.
So far, he has 8 wickets in 3 T20Is played but has an impressive economy rate of 5.62 and the best figures of 4/18. Similarly, he has an impressive T20 record of 67 wickets in 41 innings, conceding at only 6.79 at a strike rate of 14.3 and average of 16.25.
As they play all their fixtures in Colombo, he is expected to get assistance whenever he is called upon by the team, which already boasts spinners like Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan and captain Salman Agha.
They will start their Group A campaign against the Netherlands on February 7, followed by the USA on February 10 and Namibia on February 18. They have announced a boycott of the India match on February 15 ahead of the competition.
