On Sunday, June 14, Bangladesh and Australia will lock horns for the 3rd and final ODI of the three-match series. The two teams will square off at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium. It will be a dead-rubber game because the Tigers have already clinched the series.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and his men scripted history as Bangladesh won an ODI series against Australia for the first time. Talking about the 2nd ODI, the Tigers were all over the Kangaroos as they restricted the Josh Inglis-led side to just 187 runs.

In the rain-reduced match, Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman shone with three wickets each. In reply, Soumya Sarkar and Najmul Shanto did the damage and comfortably took their side home.

Now, the caravan has moved to the 3rd ODI, the most pressure-free game of the series. Nonetheless, the article will shed light on Bangladesh vs Australia 3rd ODI pitch report and weather update.

The previous two ODIs were also held at the same venue. Looking at this series itself shows that batting has not been easy here. Notably, on both occasions, Australia have struggled to adapt to the conditions.

In the first match, Bangladesh put 284 runs on the board and the visitors crumbled for just 191 runs. Further, in the 2nd ODI, Australia failed to read the conditions and surrendered to disciplined pace bowling.

Hence, batting has not been easy and the pitch has been favouring the seamers. The likes of Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, and Mustafizur Rahman have formed a formidable trio. The seamers are getting the pace, bounce and slight movement at the start.

When the ball gets old, the surface also help the spinners. However, the seam bowling has been so good so far that the spinners have not had their chance to excel. Again, for the 3rd ODI, there won't be much difference and the batters will have to play their shots, because the pitch won't be a batting paradise.

According to accuweather, rain threat looms over Bangladesh vs Australia 3rd ODI. There is 60% chance of rain, with a cloud cover of 86%. Also, there is a 36% chance of thunderstorm. Hence, fans can expect a frustrating day of play with regular interruptions.

Notably, the rain is predicted to last around 3 to 3.5 hours. Now, the spell can be straight or in multiple intervals. However, there will be rain and in all likelihood, overs will be lost, just like the 1st ODI.

Rest, the temperature will be ideal with no signs of humidity. Cloud cover is said to be around 86%, giving more advantage to the bowler.

Conclusion

For the 3rd time in this series, the surface will favour the bowlers more than the batters. So far, Bangladesh have well adjusted to the conditions, but Australia are still playing their usual style of cricket and not coming to the terms that they have to make amendments.

Since, it is a dead-rubber, it is expected that both teams go for several changes, but it won't change the fact that it is likely to be a low-scoring game.
