In a conversation with Sameer Rizvi, Delhi Capitals’ new signee Rehan Ahmed has brutally trolled the campaign of the team so far. After being signed as the replacement of Ben Duckett, England spinner Ahmed has flown to India for his maiden IPL stint and ahead of the playing field, he has already managed to drop a bomb on his captain Axar Patel.

While off-field conversations are now a form of entertainment on social media, a Snapchat video of Rehan Ahmed is now doing the rounds. In the video, Axar Patel was brutally insulted for the DC vs RCB game that saw the team record the lowest powerplay score ever in the history of the league.

What is the Shameful Match DC Played Against RCB?

On April 27, Delhi Capitals produced one of their lowest scores ever in the history of the IPL when they were bundled out for just 75 runs against a resilient Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as DC lost six wickets while struggling at just 8 runs.

Abishek Porel and David Miller’s brief resistance helped them surpass the shameful 49-run all-out record of RCB. However, it wasn’t enough, as the Rajat Patidar-led team chased the target in just 6.3 overs to further humiliate DC with one of the fastest chases in IPL history.

Rehan Ahmed Trolls Axar Patel’s DC With ‘70-Remark’

In a social media video shared on Sameer Rizvi's Snapchat, the Delhi Capitals batter was seen in a conversation with Rehan Ahmed inside the team bus as they engaged in light conversation.

When Samir Rizvi asked Ahmed how his experience with Delhi Capitals had been so far, Rehan replied sarcastically, saying, “Very good, one game 260 and one game 70”.

As soon as Ahmed said this, Rizvi laughed hard as the 21-year-old England youngster aimed his remark at the Delhi Capitals skipper.

DC’s ‘264 vs PBKS’, A Shame Too

While the 70-run reference was about the 75 all-out against RCB, the 260-run reference was a memorable knock from the Capitals against Punjab Kings on April 25, where they put up a mammoth total of 264 runs, courtesy of KL Rahul and Nitish Rana, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

However, there too, Axar Patel’s men had poor luck, as Punjab Kings chased the massive score on the board inside 18.5 overs to crush Delhi's hopes.

In that match, the most expensive bowler was Auqib Nabi, the Jammu and Kashmir sensation from the Ranji Trophy, who conceded 41 runs from his two overs. Meanwhile, veteran Mukesh Kumar gave away 55 runs from his three-over spell while going wicketless.

DC Look For A Bounce Back Against RR

Axar Patel & Co. have so far played eight matches and won only three of them, with six points under their belt. Although they started their campaign strongly, they faced hiccups in the middle and have been on a losing streak for the last three matches.

With their upcoming clash against the Rajasthan Royals on May 1 in Jaipur, the Delhi Capitals will aim to bounce back, as this could be their last chance in the race for the playoffs, which might also see the spinner Rehan Ahmed in action.
