In a significant development, the much-awaited clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders has been delayed due to rain. The two teams were all set to lock horns at the Raipur Stadium, but persistent downpour has resulted in toss being delayed.
For IPL 2026 match 57, RCB and KKR were all set to clash for the first time in this edition, but the rain has ruined all plans. For the unversed, there was rain around the afternoon, which followed a nice sunshine.
However, around half an hour before the toss, rain returned and the groundsmen covered the entire stadium, resulting in the delay. The fans are worried about the match getting abandoned and this article will shed light on the weather update from Raipur.

The good news is that the rain won't last for long. According to accuweather, there is only 2% chances of rain, with 5% cloud cover. It means that the rain will stop soon, but then it all boils down to how much time with the groundsmen take to get the ground ready.
Nonetheless, the fans should not fear the match getting abandoned. In fact, there is no threat of overs getting lost at the Raipur Stadium.
Note: At present, the rain has stopped, but the covers are on and umpires are having a long discussion about the playing conditions in Raipur. The next inspection will be at 8:15 pm.
