Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to be at loggerheads with the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next match of the IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. However, despite coming off a victory, RCB are harbouring two injuries in their camp - with Phil Salt and Rasikh Salam struggling.
Although Salt is ruled out of the DC vs RCB fixture, Rasikh Salam is set to feature on Monday (April 27). The Baroda seamer got injured against the Gujarat Titans (GT) just before the final over of the innings. As a result, Krunal Pandya was asked to bowl, and 18 runs were scored with Jason Holder smacking two biggies and a boundary.
RCB, however, have plenty of resources in their camp, with Mangesh Yadav and Abhinandan Singh as like-for-like replacements for Salam, but the 26-year-old is set to play vs DC.

With Yash Dayal out of the season, Salam has been a brilliant third seamer for the defending champions, complementing well the senior pros, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood. Although he went wicketless in the last two games, the right-arm pacer has bagged five wickets in four outings.
Who will replace Lungi Ngidi in DC?
The Capitals also had a serious injury in their camp during the match against Punjab Kings. As the table toppers went on to achieve a historic chase of 265 runs, DC's quick Lungi Ngidi faced a brutal head injury while diving backwards to catch the ball.
The South African was rushed to the hospital rapidly for scans, where he was cleared of any serious injury, but he is unlikely to feature in the immediate future. Delhi might bring in Kyle Jamieson or Dushmantha Chameera, else they could also rush Mitchell Starc as Ngidi's replacement vs RCB.
Can RCB thump DC at their home?
RCB are coming off a solid victory over the GT in their previous outing. Meanwhile, the home team were thrashed by the Kings despite posting a gigantic total of 264/2 on the board. However, DC are one of the two teams to have beaten the defending champions in IPL 2026.
Thanks to KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs, RCB lost their first game in the IPL 2026 at home.
The DC vs RCB is expected to be a run-feast, with both teams having a heavy batting order. Despite losing the last game against Delhi, Bengaluru hold a clear advantage, leading 20-13 (one no-result) across 34 matches.
