Speen Ghar Tigers and Mis Ainak Knights teams put up an absolute T20 cracker in their latest faceoff at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost. Taking on each other in match number 15 of the 2026 Shpageeza Cricket League, the Knights fell 17 runs short of their target.
Notably, senior Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi bludgeoned 90 runs off just 52 balls for the Knights in their chase of 183. Despite finishing as the highest scorer across both teams, the veteran seemingly bore the brunt of the blame from captain and fellow Afghanistan international Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz blames Mohammad Nabi for Knights defeat
Mohammad Nabi was named captain of the Mis Ainak Knights for the match against Speen Ghar Tigers, considering regular skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz came in as ‘Impact Sub’ in the second half of the game.
Nabi also led his side from the front with the bat, making 90 runs off just 52 balls with seven scorching boundaries and six huge sixes. However, his dismissal in the 18th over of the run chase tilted the tide back in favour of the Speen Ghar Tigers.

Losing his wicket at 152, Mis Ainak Knights’ lower-order failed to take their team past the finishing line as they rolled over for just 165 in 19.4 overs.
After the match, regular Knights skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz stated that he and the team management expected even more efforts from Mohammad Nabi owing to his seniority. Gurbaz also added that the senior all-rounder was well-set at the crease and should have finished the game.
While speaking with the commentator during the post-match presentation ceremony, the star opening batter said “Nabi is one of the senior players in Afghanistan cricket We expect more than that. I Think he should have finished the game.”
Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s remarks suggested that Nabi’s dismissal proved to be a decisive point in the chase.
