Indian keeper-batter Ishan Kishan seems to not fall in line with head coach Gautam Gambhir’s blockade of Pakistan cricket. Instead, he went ahead and made the day of a differently abled Pakistani fan ahead of the fifth and final T20I against England on July 11 in Southampton.

The match was not a memorable one for Indian fans or Ishan Kishan, as India lost the fifth and final T20I of the series by 56 runs. With this loss, India also lost the T20I series to England 0-4, with the first match being rained out.

Ishan Kishan makes the day for a special Pakistani fan

Ishan Kishan, an Indian wicketkeeper and batter, received a lot of attention on social media after making a touching gesture for a Pakistani fan with special needs. Before joining his colleagues for pre-match preparations, Kishan was seen in a widely shared video approaching the fan, shaking hands with them, and chatting for a short while.

In the video posted on X, Kishan can be seen approaching the barrier to personally meet the particularly abled supporter after spotting them.

The fan was clearly moved by the Indian batter's smile, handshake, and quick exchange of words. Thousand more cricket fans have now watched the positive exchange on the internet.

England rout India in fifth and final T20I

In the fifth and final Twenty20 International, Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to field first.

The choice turned out to be a grave mistake, though, as Jos Buttler and Harry Brook destroyed the Indian team's bowlers throughout the Rose Bowl. With 233 runs for the second wicket, Buttler and Brook set an English record for the highest partnership for any wicket.

England scored 257/3 in 20 overs against India thanks to Jos Buttler's 131 in 64 balls with 12 fours and 8 sixes and Brook's undefeated 95 with 8 sixes and 4 fours. The costliest bowlers for India were Axar Patel (63 runs) and Prince Yadav (60 runs).

Ishan Kishan shines for India with the bat

Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson (27) attempted a counterattack after India lost Abhishek Sharma for three. However, English bowlers continued to take Indian wickets at the appropriate times. Tilak Varma scored 53 with three fours and four sixes, while Kishan scored 56 with seven fours and two sixes.

With 28 runs, Shreyas Iyer attempted to take the assault to the bowlers in England. However, India ultimately lost the match by 56 runs after managing just 201/8 in 20 overs, proving that the request was too much. With 3/36, Sam Curran was the best bowler in England.

Kishan looked good during his stay on the crease, as he tried to play the ball as late as possible and took on the England pacers and spinners with aggression.

Ishan Kishan will next be seen in action for India when they take on England in the three-match ODI series, starting July 14 in Birmingham. The second ODI will be played on July 16 in Cardiff, and the third and final ODI will be played on July 19 at Lord’s.

Kishan is also part of the Indian squad for the three-match T20I series in Zimbabwe that will be played in Harare from July 23 to 26.
