In a significant development, the BCCI selection committee announced India's updated ODI squad for the five-match series against New Zealand, with Prasidh Krishna being ruled out due to injury. The Indian cricket board issued a press release, confirming Prasidh's exclusion and the availability of Nitish Kumar Reddy only for the first ODI match in Auckland.
The BCCI also amended the India-A squad for the remaining four-day fixtures against New Zealand-A, including Mohammed Siraj in the team for the second match of the series.

Prasidh Krishna was sidelined from the home series against West Indies due to a hamstring injury. While he was initially added to the India ODI squad vs New Zealand, his participation in the five-match series was subject to fitness clearance.
The BCCI, in its press release, revealed that Prasidh Krishna would focus on rehabilitation and might be added to the India-A squad for the final four-day encounter against New Zealand if he recovers in time.
In another development, Nitish Kumar Reddy, who was included in the India ODI squad vs New Zealand for the first three matches, has now been withdrawn from the second and third matches. The allrounder will join the India-A squad instead, with the BCCI and Indian team management wanting some game time for him with the red-ball before the Test series.
