On Monday, July 6, Zimbabwe hosted Bangladesh for 1st off a three-match ODI series at the Harare Sports Club. The visitors won the toss and opted to field first. The decision turned out to be gold, bcause the Richard Ngarava-led side tumbled for just 141 runs on the board.
Nahid Rana was the star with the ball as the right-arm seamer picked up a six-wicket haul. Zimbabwe batters were clueless and had no answers to Rana’s brilliance.
Nahid Rana Gets Best Bowling Figures By A Bangladesh Bowler
Nahid Rana registered figures of 6/21 and bowled the best spell by a Bangladeshi bowler in the history of ODIs. The 23-year-old broke Mashrafe Mortaza’s 20-year-old record, which he set against Kenya.

Rana bowled two economical overs to start his spell. He then got the crucial wicket of Sikandar Raza. Notably, the right-arm seamer took five wickets in his next four overs, leaving Zimbabwe crippled.
Rana's sixth wicket came in his 9th over when he got the captain Richard Ngarava out and scripted history for Bangladesh.

After Nahid Rana's show, Bangladesh seamer Taskin Ahmed, who too took 2 wickets, spoke about the speedster and heaped massive praise.
“I've watched Nahid closely over the last two months, and he's been bowling exceptionally well with good pace. He's improving a lot and is a great prospect for Bangladesh. Hopefully, he'll continue to serve Bangladesh well in the future."
