Experienced fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman grabbed the attention for the wrong reasons when the BCCI terminated his IPL 2026 contract amid political tensions between India and Bangladesh.

However, the seasoned campaigner breathed a sigh of relief as he secured a lucrative contract in The Hundred 2026 auction

An integral member of the Bangladeshi cricket team, Mustafizur was signed by Birmingham Phoenix for the upcoming men's Hundred competition.

As the left-arm seamer prepares for the English 100-ball tournament, here's an account of the Mustafizur Rahman The Hundred 2026 salary.

Mustafizur Rahman's IPL journey turns upside down before 2026 season

Mustafizur is a veteran fast bowler who rose to prominence during India's tour of Bangladesh in 2015. The left-arm pacer consistently troubled the Indian batters with his deceptive off-cutter, playing a pivotal role in his team's historic series victory.

Mustafizur eventually bagged an IPL contract, eventually winning the emerging player of the season for SRH in their IPL-winning campaign in 2016.

He further went on to represent Mumbai Indians, CSK, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals before the geopolitical tussle between India and Bangladesh abruptly halted his progress in the competition.

Although he was roped in by KKR at a whopping price of INR 9.20 crore, the contract termination ensured he wouldn't feature in the marquee event.

Mustafizur Rahman The Hundred 2026 salary

After the BCCI snubbed him from the IPL 2026, Mustafizur was secured by the Birmingham Phoenix in the inaugural Hundred auction.

The Bangladesh fast bowler was one of the high-profile names to go under the hammer, as the Phoenix signed him at £100,000.

So, the Mustafizur Rahman The Hundred 2026 salary is £100,000, which translates into 12313770 in Indian rupees.

Had Mustafizur played the IPL 2026, he would've received INR 9.20 crore from the Kolkata Knight Riders. On the other hand, the Mustafizur Rahman The Hundred 2026 salary amounts to 12313770 Indian rupees.

So, although the contract seems huge in terms of The Hundred standards, the Bangladesh ace will receive 79686230 rupees less than his IPL 2026 salary.

Thus, the Mustafizur Rahman The Hundred 2026 salary is a whopping 86.61 per cent less than what he could've received in the IPL 2026.

Birmingham Phoenix The Hundred schedule

Recently, the Birmingham Phoenix appointed Jacob Bethell as their captain for The Hundred 2026. The RCB batter had a breakthrough T20 World Cup, amassing 280 runs across eight innings at an average of 35 and a blistering strike rate of 152.17.

He smashed a sensational hundred in the all-important T20 World Cup semifinal against India, following which the Birmingham Phoenix roped him as their skipper for the competition.

Apart from Mustafizur, the Phoenix secured the services of Saqib Mahmood, Usman Tariq, Joe Clarke, Will Smeed, Jordan Thompson, Scott Currie, Laurie Evans, Chris Wood and Ethan Brookes in the auction.

They have two slots and £2,000 remaining heading to the men's Hundred competition, where they will take on Trent Rockets in their first match on July 24. The Jacob Bethell-led outfit will further face Manchester Super Giants, Southern Brave, and Welsh Fire on July 26, 30 and August 1, respectively.
