Earlier this week, the cricketer reportedly received a notice from the agency to appear before its members on October 2 this weekend at 3:00 PM PST as part of the ongoing cybercrime inquiry.The agency also warned Rizwan of a possible legal action if he failed to attend the summon or refused to co-operate with the investigation. In a letter, the senior Pakistan batter responded with “I have received the notice and will join the inquiry on October 2.”However, the 34-year-old is still seeking clarity regarding the legal inquiry, even though the initial notice contained allegations related to online betting and gambling.Mohammad Rizwan demands return of phoneMohammad Rizwan has also been demanding the NCCIA to return his phone back. Last month, the cricketer handed his phone to the agency as part of the investigation. He wrote a letter to the agency, claiming that he gave over his phone even though he was not legally obligated to consent to the NCCIA’s demand.It is worth noting that Rizwan has been a subject of NCCIA’s inquiry ever since the senior Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter returned from England midway into the Test series a month ago.Both his and Imam-ul-Haq's phones were taken by the investigating authorities, with the authorities reportedly suspected illegal activities on part of the two cricketers.
