At the time, the senior BCCI official even interacted with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, but the Indian women’s team refused to collect the trophy from the controversial Pakistani official. In light of the recent controversies, the PCB chairman will reportedly not be attending the final presentation ceremony, likely prompting an Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) member to hand over the Asian Games medals if Team India wins the gold. Ever since the Pahalgam terrorist attack last year, Indian players have refused to interact with their Pakistan counterparts, or even collect the winner’s trophy from any Pakistan official. India’s communication boycott began with the 2025 Men’s Asia Cup, and the trend was also evidenced in this year’s 2026 T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
