There is turmoil going on in the subcontinent with cross-border clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have been going on for over a month now. IPL 2026 calling for Allah Ghazanfar
Ahead of the IPL 2025, the Mumbai Indians acquired the services of the upcoming Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar for INR 4.8 crore, but an injury to the mystery spinner ruled him out of that season.
However, for his real good numbers in leagues across the globe, and for Afghanistan as well, MI decided to retain the spinner ahead of the mini-auction for IPL 2026.
Additionally, Ghazanfar represented Mumbai Indians' sister franchise, MI Emirates, in the ILT20 2025-26, where he took 15 wickets in 13 innings at 19.00 apiece, helping the team finish as runners-up to the Desert Vipers.
The Afghanistan spinner has reached India for Mumbai's pre-season camps, where he was practising with Rohit Sharma and Shardul Thakur, who themselves had a fun banter in a session.
MI kickstart thier campaign in the IPL 2026 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wakhede Stadium on March 29.
