Jai Moondra has become one of the biggest talking points in cricket after delivering a sensational performance against India in the recently concluded two-match T20I series.
The Indian-origin pacer, who represents Ireland, impressed everyone with his pace. As a result, he has now been signed by the Rotterdam Dockers for the inaugural edition of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL).
Notably, the signing comes shortly after Moondra played a major role in Ireland’s historic 2-0 T20I series victory over the reigning T20 World Champions.
Jai Moondra Impressed With His Bowling
Jai Moondra received his maiden international cap for Ireland ahead of the first T20I against India. Facing the world champions in his debut match was never going to be easy. However, the young left-arm pacer showed remarkable composure and looked completely at home on the international stage.
In the opening game, Moondra bowled with great discipline and finished with impressive figures of 2/25 in his four-over spell.
Notably, he dismissed Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube, helping Ireland secure a comfortable 34-run victory.
If the first match showcased his potential, the second T20I confirmed that Jai Moondra is a player to watch. Playing in Belfast, the young pacer delivered another outstanding performance that completely changed the course of the match.
He struck with the very first balls to dismiss Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson for ducks. Soon after, he removed captain Shreyas Iyer, leaving India’s batting line-up under immense pressure.

Jai Moondra Finished IND vs IRE T20I Series On High Note
Moondra ended the match with figures of 3/32 as Ireland edged India by just one run to complete a memorable 2-0 series sweep.
Across both matches, he claimed five wickets at an impressive average of 11.40, making him the standout performer of the series
Following his exceptional performances, Moondra was named both the Player of the Match in the 2nd T20I and the Player of the Series.
Rotterdam Dockers Secure Jai Moondra for ETPL 2026
Soon after his impressive international performances, Jai Moondra received another major boost in his career. The Rotterdam Dockers signed the left-arm pacer for the first season of the European T20 Premier League.
The Rotterdam franchise is owned by Jonty Rhodes, John Abraham, Heinrich Klaasen and Faf du Plessis.
Although Moondra has played only 7 T20s so far, he has already taken 15 wickets while maintaining an economy rate of 7.54.
All You Need To Know About European T20 Premier League
The European T20 Premier League will begin its inaugural season in 2026 and will be jointly organised by Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. The tournament will feature six franchises, Amsterdam Flames, Dublin Guardians, Edinburgh Castle Rockers, Glasgow Cosmic, Belfast Wolves, and Rotterdam Dockers.
The competition is scheduled to run from August 26 to September 20, with matches being played across the Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. A total of 32 matches, including four playoff games, will be played during the tournament.
