The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced complete England squads for the upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. As per the schedule, the England cricket team will be hosting Sri Lanka in a series of three T20Is and three ODI matches.
The squad features as many as two uncapped stars in the form of Aneurin Donald and Henry Crocombe.
Aneurin Donald named in England T20I squad vs Sri Lanka
The ECB has named a 16-player England squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka this month between September 15 and September 19.
Harry Brook will continue to lead the national side after captaining them to ODI and T20I series win at home against India. Brook will also be accompanied by seasoned pros like Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Ben Duckett among others.

Derbyshire star Aneurin Donald was named as a potential debutant in the squad, after he enjoyed a prolific season with the bat in the 2026 T20 Blast in England. In 12 innings for the Derbyshire cricket club, the explosive right-handed batter scored 489 runs at an average of 40.75 and with a strike rate of 230.66.
The squad also features quality all-rounders like Will Jacks, Gus Atkinson and pace bowlers like Josh Tongue, Saqib Mahmood among others. Here is a look at the entire England squad for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Henry Crocombe earns maiden ODI call-up
Much like Aneurin Donald, fellow uncapped England cricketer Henry Crocombe received a surprise call-up in the national ODI squad. The Sussex paceman has been proficient in his List A career so far, with 49 wickets to his name in just 36 games at an average of 33.46.
Henry Crocombe will join the likes of Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue and Sonny Baker to constitute England’s pace line-up.

Jacob Bethell, Phil Salt ruled out of Sri Lanka series
The ECB named as many as 19 England players and distributed them among both, the T20I and ODI squads of the national side, with 13 players finding themselves in the 16-member groups of both formats.
Prominent names like Jacob Bethell and Phil Salt failed to find a place in either of the two squads owing to their respective injury concerns. While Salt will be unavailable for the series owing to his right quad injury, Bethell recently underwent a successful surgery on his injured knee.
