On Saturday, January 24, India and New Zealand were all set to lock horns in match 25 of the Under-19 World Cup in Bulawayo. However, the much-awaited fixture has been delayed because of the wet outfield at the Queen’s Sports Club.

Notably, the ground witnessed an early morning shower, but despite no rain in the last few hours, the ground has failed to be match-ready in time for the game. Meanwhile, this article will shed light on the weather update at the Queen’s Sports Club, Bulawayo. 

Talking about the two teams, India have got off to the perfect start as the Ayush Mhatre-led have two wins in two matches. India started off their campaign with a win over USA, followed by a close-vcitory against Bangladesh.

New Zealand, on the other hand, have just two points in two games. The Kiwis are placed third on the table with just a solitary win. The upcoming game is crucial for New Zealand to stay alive in the tournament because if the rain continues to fall, then it will be a bad thing for the blackcaps more than India.

Overall, eight matches already were reduced because of the bad weather conditions, while two matches were abandoned because of rain and saw no result. For the unversed, both of India's games were rain-reduced adventures and it seems to be the case for New Zealand match as well.

On the other hand, Ayush Mhatre has scored 25 runs in 2 innings, and has been a total flop in the event. Mhatre is yet to click and his best came in the opening game against USA, where he scored run-a-ball 19.
