India will look to secure the three-match ODI series as they lock horns against England in the second ODI at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Thursday.
After registering a convincing victory in the opening game at Edgbaston, the visitors now have the chance to claim the series with one match still left to play.
The 'Men in Blue' entered the ODI series after suffering a disappointing defeat in the preceding T20I series against England.
How Did India Perform In The 1st ODI vs England?
In the first ODI, the chase of 259 runs never looked difficult for the visitors. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a stylish innings of 80 runs off 75 balls.
All-rounder Axar Patel also made valuable contributions, while Washington Sundar played a composed knock of 52 runs off 63 balls.
Although India celebrated a comfortable win, there are still a few areas the team management will want to improve for the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI.
The biggest concern remains the form of senior batters Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rohit was dismissed for 11 runs, while Kohli managed only five.
With the excitement at an all-time high for the IND vs ENG 2nd ODI, in this article, let's take a look at the toss update and the playing XI of India and England.

IND vs ENG 2nd ODI: What The Captains Had To Say
Shubman Gill (India Captain): "(What would he have done?) We would've bowled first as well.
(How is he now) Doing well and yes, very happy and pleased that we had a near perfect last game. Hopefully, we will have another good game tonight.
(On being clinical in the last game) Yeah definitely. I think we had good 6-7 overs in the powerplay and then we were put under pressure after the powerplay. We started well and it was great to see our fast bowlers doing well.
(On playing here in Cardiff) Yeah, I have played for Glamorgan. So, I have a lot of happy memories. Time to add one more to those (memories).
(Changes?) Yes, we have gone 1 change. KL is sick. So, Ishan comes in for him."
Harry Brook (England Captain): "We are going to have a bowl today.
[on the surface] Nice, even covering of grass so hopefully we can get a little bit of seam movement today.
[on what needs to be done different than 1st ODI] Just execute slightly better. I've always said we are never out of games and we put up a really good fight last game. To take it that deep was an awesome effort from the guys and some more of that really.
[combination] Josh Tongue and Liam Dawson come out for Saqib Mahmood and Gus Atkinson."
