Stokes and Botham played almost the same number of ODI matches for England. In the 50-over format, the modern-day great scored 1350 runs more than his counterpart. Additionally, he had also racked up five centuries in comparison to Botham's zilch.
On the other hand, Botham, again, had double the wickets as Stokes in ODIs as well.
What goes in Stokes' favour is that he was the linchpin of England's first-ever ODI World Cup-winning team in 2019 , while Botham could only finish as runners-up with England in the 1992 marquee event.
