Team India’s T20I squad took some time off and went to enjoy a jungle safari in Nagpur ahead of their five-match T20I series against New Zealand, starting January 21. The outing gave players a chance to relax, bond, and soak in nature before the intense cricketing schedule.

In a reel shared by Sanju Samson, fans got a glimpse of the Indian players, including Captain Suryakumar Yadav, having a fun time exploring the wildlife. Players woke up before sunrise in the cold and embraced the adventure, showing a lighter, more relaxed side away from the cricket field.

This refreshing outing comes at a crucial time as the team gears up for a grueling series. The squad will soon travel extensively from Nagpur to Raipur, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Thiruvananthapuram. These moments in nature offered a brief escape, helping players recharge ahead of the high-intensity matches.

The players were seen enjoying the safari together, spotting wildlife, and sharing laughs as they explored the forests. Hot tea breaks in the early morning chill added to the charm, giving everyone a chance to chat and bond beyond the cricketing environment.

Ishan Kishan, Ravi Bishnoi, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, and Captain Suryakumar Yadav were among the group spotted in the reel. Their smiles and playful interactions reflected a closely connected atmosphere, essential for team morale ahead of an important series.

For a few players like Ishan Kishan, this was their first experience of a jungle safari. The experience allowed players to recharge mentally and physically, an important aspect considering the T20 World Cup is also around the corner in February.

Individual goals and spirits

The reel posted by Sanju Samson shows his relaxed yet confident mindset as he prepares to take on the role of opener for the T20 World Cup. The positivity is evident as he enjoys time with his teammates.

Meanwhile, captain Suryakumar Yadav is aiming to regain his best batting form after a challenging few series in recent times. The five match contest starting from Nagpur offers him an opportunity to reset and start fresh ahead of the World Cup.

Additionally, Ishan Kishan comes off a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy triumph with Jharkhand and is back with the India National Cricket Team, while Ravi Bishnoi joins as a replacement for Washington Sundar, and Rinku Singh is now a confirmed part of the World Cup squad.

Suryakumar Yadav leads team to rectify ODI defeat

After New Zealand stunned the Men in Blue after winning the three-match ODI series, the T20I side eyes a chance to avenge the setback. The historic defeat served as a wake-up call, reminding India of the challenges posed by a strong and disciplined Kiwi side.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav and his men will be keen to set things right. With the T20I series starting soon, he aims to lead from the front, regain momentum, and ensure the team responds strongly, using the five-match contest as a platform to bounce back and restore confidence.
